iPhones are personal devices firefighters carry — free for every responder. iPads are operational hardware your department buys, so the pricing scales with how many you deploy. Department tiers add cross-device sync + encrypted cloud backup.
Always free. Use on every personal phone in your department.

Department licensing is sold off-store via invoicing. Pricing covers 1 year and any number of incidents. Renewals preserve the same department key, so previously-archived encrypted backups stay readable.
iPhones are personal devices firefighters carry — we want every responder to have the full ERG reference for free, no strings attached. iPads are operational hardware that departments buy for apparatus; the app pricing matches how that hardware gets bought.
Solo ($299/yr) gives one iPad the complete app — full Incident Command Board, roster preload, archived incidents, exports. Department licensing ($500–$1,500/yr for 2–10 devices, any mix of iPads and desktops) adds cross-device sync so every device in the dept sees the same live incident board and the same preloaded roster, plus encrypted cloud backup so a wiped device can be restored from any other licensed device.
It's not — math: Solo is $299/device, Mid Department is $200/device ($1,000 ÷ 5), Full Department is $150/device ($1,500 ÷ 10). The Solo tier covers individual chiefs running one iPad through the App Store; department tiers (off-store, iPad + desktop, any mix) reward fleet deployment with a lower per-device rate plus sync features that Solo can't use anyway with only one device.
Yes — the iPhone Map and Solo iPad subscriptions both have free intro offers (1 month and 7 days respectively). Apple sends a notification 24 hours before the conversion to paid. Cancel any time in iOS Settings before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
The desktop version (this site, hosted at firehazmat.openscaffoldlabs.com/app) runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook. Install it as a Progressive Web App from the browser menu for an icon on your taskbar. The PWA is part of the Department License — every licensed iPad slot also covers a desktop install for the same incident.
Trial conversations happen during the sales call. Email support@openscaffoldlabs.com and we'll set up an evaluation period.
iPhone and Solo iPad subscriptions auto-renew via Apple. Department licenses are annual contracts — we email you 30 days before expiry with renewal instructions. Renewals reuse the same department key, so previously-archived encrypted backups stay readable.
